Being the unofficial photographer at family functions, my family often jokes that I am a hoarder of photographs because I literally have pictures of everything and everyone.

My family has always been at the forefront of my life, which is why I started taking pictures of everyone at such a young age. Photos allow us to travel in time, if you really think about it. In my opinion, you can instantly recall the conversations and emotions that were taking place in the moment the photograph was taken. Our lives are literally in constant motion, and photos allow us to reflect on experiences as they come and go.

I consider photography a way of freezing time. I enjoy capturing candid photos because I feel like they really give you a glimpse of who a person really is. When people don't have their guard up or feel too aware of a camera, you get some of the best photos; the ones that make us say "wow!"

If I had to describe myself, I would say that I'm an easy-going type of person. I really like to go with the flow and I take life as it comes. Having grown up in Saint. Louis, Missouri and Sacramento, California I feel that I've gotten the best of both outdoor worlds. I looooovee everything about being outdoors (except the insects!) and feeling connected to nature.

 

On most days you can find me out taking a walk, reading news articles or trying to max out on my lifts in the gym. I'm such a foodie, and I'll try any type of food at least once.
